Refused certification by British Film Censors upon it's first showing in the United Kingdom in 1965, it's regarded there and on this side of the pond to be one of the finest lost works of modern noir cinema. Try this on for size, it boasts such current themes as stalking, phone sex, porno addiction, voyeurism, masturbation, fetishism, lesbianism, sexual perversion, incest, sadomasochism and murder. And that's just in the first 30 minutes.

This film was and is so forward thinking, it's almost hard to believe it was made in 1965. You could certainly see it being made now. It's a well acted, well written, dark psychological crime thriller concerning Nora, a pretty nightclub DJ (Prowse) and Lawrence, a pornography addicted, mentally ill, bodybuilding busboy who spends the movie making obscene phone calls to her and not wearing very much (Mineo).

*Not commercially released in the U.S.A.
