the best version

I have helped my husband look for this version of highlander for years on DVD. I am glad somebody made a copy from the laser disc and hope someday, someone will get the American theatrical release rights, so more people can enjoy it as well.

US Theatrical Version : YES / Laserdisc Transfer : Umm....

I'm a big fan of the movie "Highlander" but I've always preferred the US Theatrical Version over the Director's Cut(heresy I know).sadly the US_TV only exists on VHS(which is what I watched a thousand times) so I broke down and made my own DVD transfer.the picture and sound quality aren't great.in fact the version that gets shown on cable-tv is light years ahead of it.but still there you have it.imagine my joy when I discovered someone had made a laser-disc transfer of the US_TV.unfortunately the master print got lost or mangled but eventually Vintage Shack took care of it and I ordered my copy.so how is it?Ummm...it looks almost identical to my VHS-DVD transfer picture and sound quality both.I watched "Highlander" on El Rey Network last night and was stunned at how much better it looked.I'm giving this one 4 Stars because Vintage Shack delivered on what they promised and the box art is super nice.so until somebody finally breaks down and releases the Us Theatrical Version in HD this will have to suffice.
